The Bagman is the perfect accompaniment for your Carradice saddlebag.  It is possible to fit Carradice bags without the support by strapping the back of the bag to your seat post.  However, one ride with one of these simple, ingenious devices in place, and you'll wonder how you ever managed without one.

What the support does is prevent the dreaded 'bag sag' that happens with strap-only fitting of Carradice bags.  The Bagman will keep the top of bag facing upwards as it should  -and keeps your stuff from falling out if you go riding over rough terrain.  Added to that, thanks to the Bagman, you won't have to put up with the bag swaying around when you set off or get out of the saddle, nor will the bag rub away at the back of your legs when loaded up.

In fact, after a while, you'll forget you've a saddlebag strapped on board, which is exactly the effect you want.

The Bagman comes in two sizes and four versions; the 'Sport' is for smaller bags, like the popular 'Barley' and 'Cadet'; and the 'Expedition' rack is for higher capacity bags like the Nelson Longflap and Camper.

Both the Sport and Expedition are available with the QR option ; a patented, spring-loaded bracket for saddles without bag loops.  Commuters who need to detach and re-affix their luggage on a regular basis should opt for the Bagman QR version, which makes fitting and removing saddlebags a cinch.

Fitting takes just a few minutes and there's absolutely nothing to go wrong. The saddle-rail fixing bracket now has a durable black finish, to complement the majority of today's seat post designs.

The support itself has a brushed stainless steel finish which should withstand the worst of the weather and stay looking good for years. The full-strength Expedition model is capable of carrying loads up to 10kg ... or, in imperial, 21 full-size cans of Bud.

All in all, this is a superb product and at less than 25 quid for the non-QR version, worth every penny.
